Bricks – Viviane Brickmanne

My work focuses on exploring the shapes and meanings that bricks receive when I remodel them in order to transform the everyday object into a work of art.

I am deeply impressed by the destruction of cities due to war or natural disasters, wherein bricks carry a great emotional burden, and are a metaphor of the vulnerability and fragility of our lives.
